Jerry Stone is the Lead Pastor at Life Church Charlotte. He and his wife, Melanie, married in 1986 and have two teenage daughters, Amanda and Kara.

Before starting Life Church, the Stones graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1988, ministered and lived in Canada and Great Britain, then traveled as missionaries out of Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jerry traveled to several nations in Europe, Africa, and South America, teaching in Bible schools, preaching in crusades, and ministering at pastor's conferences. Jerry feels that the people he has met around the world have enriched his life and expanded his view of who God is and what God can do.

After traveling internationally for several years, God placed a strong desire in Jerry’s heart to start a church in Charlotte, North Carolina. With the support of Pastor Dino Rizzo and a church planting organization called the Association of Related Churches, Life Church Charlotte, held its first service on September 18, 2005.
